Hallway is Opened

Today, we saw the end of the hallway opened up. This should really connect the original part of the house with the new addition. It also has the added bonus of allowing more light to penetrate into the hallway - a good thing.

On a negative note, the dust! the dust! It's doing my head in. Doesn't matter how much I vacuum and mop it appears to never disappear. This is renovation in all it's glory.

Here is an old photos from a few years ago, showing this section of the house. Note how the old doorway at the end is very low and very narrow.

Here is the after photo. Weirdly my flash wasn't working. But it shows a much improved flow to the back of the house.
